Child safety standards

Last updated 16 September 2026

Sektar has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out our standards, what we do about it and how to report a concern. It applies to the Sektar app on Android and to the website.

Who can use Sektar

Sektar is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Anyone offering classes or services that involve children, such as home tutors and babysitters, must pass an ID check by our team (CNIC and a selfie) before they can take that work.

What is not allowed

We remove, and never allow:

  • any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including drawn, edited or AI-made images, and links to it
  • content that sexualises children, or sexual comments about children
  • grooming: an adult trying to build a relationship with a child to abuse them, including asking a child for photos, to meet, or to keep a secret
  • sextortion, and threats to share intimate images of a child
  • trafficking, or selling or advertising children or access to them
  • any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes through posts, messages, listings, classes or services

How to report a concern

  • In the app: open Account and tap Report a safety concern, or tap Report on a complaint or an outage. Choose Child safety concern.
  • On the website: use Report on any post, comment, message, profile, listing, class, service or business, or Report a safety concern on your Account page, and choose Child safety concern.

Reports are private. The member you report is not told who reported them. If a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 15 first.

What we do

  • Our team reviews child safety reports before any other report.
  • We remove the content and suspend the account as soon as we confirm a concern.
  • We keep the information needed for an investigation, and we report child sexual abuse material and child exploitation to the police and the national cyber crime authorities in Pakistan, and to other authorities where the law requires.
  • Members who break these standards are not allowed back.

Complying with the law

We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, including the laws of Pakistan, and we cooperate with law enforcement. Sektar is not an emergency service.
